Silvermine Nine
Silvermine Nine — Group Show
Cultural Center at Willow Valley Communities Willow Valley Lakes Drive, Willow Street, PA
June 26 - July 30 - Artist Reception June 28, 2012
The Silver mine Nine is a group of artist friends who gather monthly for lively critiques and discussions about art. The meetings began in the early 1990’s when a group of friends who studied art at Millersville University got together for a Self-Portrait Party. Expressed in a variety of media, from pastel to watercolor to collage, the portraits surprised and inspired these friends to continue to meet and share their art and ideas. The membership expanded to include friends of friends and others, and went from occasional to monthly meetings. The hostess of that first gathering, Pat Marion, lived off Silvermine Road, thus the name of the group.
